We’ve got a big update: Sourcetable now works with (basically) every file you care about.
From day one, we supported the essentials—CSVs, XLSX, JSON, SQL. But real workflows aren’t that clean. Data lives in PDFs, scientific formats, images, and all kinds of weird exports.
So we fixed that.
Now you can bring in:
• Spreadsheets & tabular data (.csv, .tsv, .xlsx)
• Structured data (.json, .xml)
• Docs & text (.txt, .md, .pdf, .docx)
• Code & queries (.py, .sql, .js)
And beyond that, we’ve unlocked a whole new layer via Python:
• Columnar data (.parquet, .feather)
• Scientific formats (.hdf5, .fits, .mat)
• Statistical files (.sav, .dta)
• Images (.png, .jpg)
Which means Sourcetable isn’t just for spreadsheets anymore—it’s for analysts, engineers, researchers, and anyone working with messy, real-world data.
Enjoy!
